SOCCER ACADEMY

PREAMBLE

Luis Fernando Herrera Arango, known as Chonto, is an ex-soccer player and today is a coach in the Colombian professional soccer league. He served as a defender through the right wing and is considered the best in his position in the history of Colombian soccer. Chonto Herrera took his first appearance as a professional player at Independiente Medellin, joined Club Atletico Bucaramanga, continued onto the America of Cali and Atletico Nacional, where he left a significant sport legacy and reached their greatest achievements, including the title of "Copa Libertadores de America" in 1989. Was selected to play and represent Colombia with his national team for 10 years, participating in four "Copas America" and he played the World Cup in Italy 1990, United States 1994 and also played the qualifying stages for France 1998.

After retiring, Chonto Herrera was formed as professional soccer coach in Colombia and the United States. On his return to Colombia, he was part of the coaching team of the "Club Deportivo La Equidad Seguro", Deportivo Cali, Independiente Medellín and Cerro Porteño where he obtained great soccer achievements. After becoming league champions with Cerro Porteño he when on to becoming the head coach of Club Deportivo Atletico Huila. Here he led the team to a successful season. After leaving the team at the end of 2020 and the world going through a pandemic he came back into the states in November of 2021. Where he took on the project to launch off his company CH4 Soccer Management along with his family. 

OUR MAIN OBJECTIVE

We want to be a soccer academy focused on the comprehensive education of children and adolescents through the practice of soccer, with the collaboration of well-prepared coaches. The academy will be under the supervision of a group of great soccer coaches and of course Chonto Herrera, who will be continuously sharing his knowledge and experience with our coaches. The training structure will follow his methodology in such a way to guarantee and provide an unforgettable sports experience for our kids.

MOTIVATION AND IMPORTANCE

The Academy was born from the dream of the coach and former soccer player "Chonto Herrera", of wanting to share his professional and sports experiences with children and teenagers who are passionate about the "beautiful game". Under the premise that through the practice of sports there is a way to collaborate with human cultural formation and social transformation.

Our soccer academy is designed as a program aimed to the comprehensive training of children and adolescents through the teaching and practice of high performance soccer and outstanding quality. We set our professional efforts in the accompaniment of our players in the different scenarios that involve full personal development and sports training.

We are faithful to the idea that sports are a part of the right path to build a better country. With our focused in training human beings and incorporating discipline, responsibility, and respect. All these principles are instilled in sports competitions, social relationships and teamwork, which will allow our players to develop mental and physical qualities that will generate greater feeling of well-being, self-esteem and optimism. The most important thing is the enjoyment of practicing the sport while taking the victories or facing the defeats.

We are an academy for soccer dreamers, who want to train and prepare themselves to become great athletes but most importantly great people and thru our training we will provide these opportunities.

To be an Academy that trains future preeminent soccer players. Identified by personal, sporting and excellence who are ready to take on new challenges in professional soccer to the national and international level.

GOALS

Short term:

• The launch of the Football Academy through the mass media to make use of our image "Chonto Herrera", aiming to attract families and people who wish to choose us to instruct their children in the practice of soccer.
• To be accepted and recognized in the soccer environment as a sports academy of comprehensive training of children and teenagers through the practice of soccer. Our recognition and acceptance will be earned through the professional accompaniment, strategies and methodologies that would be applied in our players to strengthen their strengths and correct their deficiencies.
• Achieve a number of children enrolled, planned for the first year of activities, that allow us sustainability, resources and alliances to fulfill our sports competition objectives, strengthen the infrastructure of the academy and gain a stable financial performance.

Long term:

• Consolidate as the most influential and leading soccer academy in the city, materialized throughout players who aspire to be part of major league soccer and university both locally and or countrywide.
• Obtain a maximum of experience, which allows us to expand the number of categories inside the academy, reaching the U18 categories.
• On behalf of the CH4 Soccer Academy, it is a wish to set up a Foundation, run for children and adolescents who don´t have the resources to realize their dream and longing for training to be a soccer player or obtain a career that could lead them to a good life prospect.

 
STRATEGIC ALLIANCES

It is our objective once we start the operation and activity of the academy, to find agreements and alliances with important sport institutions in the following aspects:

• Well prepared coaches and sports professionals, willing to share and teach our soccer professors all the concepts needed to develop a high physical performance and strengthen the mental abilities of our players.
• Complete important alliances with soccer scouts that will facilitate and create opportunities for our athletes to attend a university or make a career as soccer players.
• Participate on amateur and high-level leagues, near our location so this way we provide the competition needed to guarantee the development of our players inside real-time game situations.
• Have an agreement with professional soccer teams so our most talented athletes in our academy can travel and try out. Providing opportunities thru our connections for them to possibly make it as a professional soccer player.
• Open and or establish a strategic partnership with a soccer agency to properly manage and guide our future stars.
